I love my clients! But I'm a fine artist, first and foremost. And if I don't allow myself time to "play", then I can get very frustrated. As a creative, I have a lot of conceptual ideas that need just as much attention as my client work. So here is a study of day and night that I recently did with two former clients.
Morgan, a former head shot client, reached out after seeing my sunset image and asked if we could do something similar... having already worked with her on my White Rabbit project, I jumped at the chance to go play in the woods with her. I am in love with these three images!!
Both sessions took place out at Dawes Arboretum - the first was around 9:30am and the second started close to 7pm.
Thanks to my dear friend, Lisa, for coming out to lend her creative styling and help hold my lights.
This session with Lindsay has a very different mood because I shot it first (by about 3 weeks. And it's shot at sunset, which makes a difference. Lindsay is a former bride (and her husband, Ben, who is off-camera tagged along, so I put him to work ;) lol But he was a great help with my lights).
Baby Andrew was just 4 days old when I had the privilege of photographing him. These are just two of my favorite images from our mini-session.
Doing newborn sessions is always special, but is is especially nice when the mama is a dear friend of mine! Becca and I have known each other for a VERY long time. (I'm not going to attempt to tell you how long)... but the birth of Caly is one that she has waited for and talked about forever!!
Little fingers, little ear, little toes... things that will not stay little forever.
Caly slept all the way through our mini session!! She didn't wake to complain once - which never happens! Especially at 11 days old. But she did!! Hopefully that's a good sign for how she'll eventually sleep through the night too!!
A girl with a camera, trying to be creative out loud. I keep my clients as friends; believe in endless possibilities. and have decided that 2017 is a "Fearless and Bold" kind of year.
